Title: Apartment complex in Strasswalchen

Completed in spring 2009, the 54 apartments are supplied with heat and domestic hot water via a central thermal solar system. This enables efficient energy distribution and coverage of 15-20% of the annual energy demand via solar energy. An exhaust system is governed by room humidity. The fresh air system integrated in doors and windows is nearly maintenance-free. This prevents mold, avoids moisture in outside building materials, and reduces ventilation heating requirements. Comparison with other apartment complexes in the coming years will help to determine the most economical, efficient and user-friendly system.
