Title: photovoltaic power station Bušanovice I+II
The photovoltaic power station Bušanovice on the edge of the Bohemian Forest with a total size of 1,36 MWp supplies the produced electricity into the distribution net. It is a photovoltaic power station, which was the first large capacity power station in Eastern Europe. This project started the public’s interest in solar energy use in the Czech Republic and initiated discussions in academic as well as political and corporate circles. The project proved that investing in renewable sources is not an investment which needs to be paid back, not financially, nor socially. The total area of the power station is on 3 hectares on the Southern slope with an incline of 12%. The proposed total electricity production of both power station parts is 1224 MWh per year, whereby the production from this renewable source should save 1315 tons CO2 and 1315 kg SO2.
