Title: Exhaust Algae

This project attempts to cultivate algae with CO2-containing flue gases to the Lafarge cement plant in Perlmooser Retznei. In the cement production caused large amounts of CO2. Microalgae are single-celled organisms, which operate as plant photosynthesis, light energy and use CO2 and water into biomass and oxygen to convert. Thus, reduced CO2 and the resulting biomass can be a valuable commodity in many industrial applications such as Additives in food and pharmaceutical products, in the fine chemicals, as well as be used as an oil source for biodiesel production.
