The Mini House is a prototype for urban infill. Instead of creating an urban sprawl of housing niches and rest areas can be used in the city. Thus, the existing infrastructure is better utilized and strengthened the socio-cultural fabric of the city. Through a comprehensive life cycle assessment, the building has been optimized as a whole. Both the manufacturing (wood construction, natural renewable resources) and operational (Passive House Standard, renewable energy), maintenance and decommissioning has been analyzed. Macro-economically be avoided due to the low land use and the avoidance of investment in roads, pipelines, public buildings. The buildings were optimized with low operating costs and favorable financing, the life cycle costs.
