Caritas' energy-saving service "was established in 2005 at the initiative of the energy department of the city of Frankfurt, focusing on: training / employment support for long-term unemployed, Free energy advice service for households with low incomes, contribute to the sustainable CO2 savings
Awareness of new communities for climate protection
The trained sleep consultants come into the house and take on the consumption of heating energy, electricity and water and carry out a Ist-/Soll-Bewertung. In the evaluation report, all savings identified and presented at second appointment. Furthermore, the households receive free energy saving products (worth up to 70 €) as well as concrete information about energy-saving behavior. May be reduced by up to 100 € per year. From the Frankfurt Project 2008, the nationwide electricity saving check is caused by a similar pattern.
