Title: Mine Water Treatment Using Eutectic Freeze Crystallization
Eutectic Freeze Crystallization is an attractive water treatment technique that is able to treat wastewater and produce potable water and saleable salt products, thus significantly reducing the volume of waste. The technique is based on the fact that when a solution is cooled to its eutectic temperature, ice and salt begin to crystallize as two separable solid phases. These solid phases can then be separated as a result of their density difference thus offering a unique water treatment option.
