Title: DC West - Construction of a second Distribution center for McDonald's Austria
The SDL Handelsges.m.b.H. based in Korneuburg bears since 1988, the responsibility for the complete execution of logistics tasks for McDonald's in Austria. This SDL currently supplies 170 restaurants with about 1,000 articles. On average, each McDonald's branch supplying 2.5 times per week with the full range of products.
As part of the "DC-West" should be through the establishment of a second distribution center (distribution center, DC) in western Austria, a comprehensive reorganization made the entire logistics concept for McDonald's in Austria.
With the commissioning of the facility in Tyrol in June 2010 was now the start of the new logistics concept and made it a more significant environmental benefits are realized.
