Title: Enhancing secure and clean water in rural villages, with treatment, solar heating, construction of spring wells, pit latrines, water harvesting and conservation structures.

The project entails, educating local residents in rural villages on water treatment by boiling using solar energy, filtration using cheaply and locally available filter straws and chlorination. Open spring wells and pit latrines are constructed to reduce water contamination during rain season, when faecal matter (human waste) and other wastes are washed down to open springs and other sources. Improved water harvesting is constructed in schools, structures such as weirs, pans, dams across rivers, and fishponds at lower end of wells.
