Title: Beaufort Court Zero Emissions Building
Beaufort Court Zero Emissions Building is the world’s first commercially developed building to be carbon neutral and entirely energy self-sufficient. It is exemplary not only as a demonstration of cutting edge sustainable development but also of the successful conversion of derelict historic buildings to provide a contemporary head office and visitor accommodations of the highest caliber. The energy strategy for Beaufort Court Zero Emissions Building is unique. Components such as the hybrid PVT array and the seasonal heat store have never been used in a commercially driven project. The combination of PVT, heat store, space heating and borehole cooling has never been undertaken before. Using renewable energy in order to create a zero emission building is also innovative.
