Title: Wide-scale Electrification of the Planet through Solar-Turbine Power Generation
The major share of solar energy in the future will be provided by solar turbines, not photovoltaic systems. Photovoltaic panels will never have the energy densities required to electrify the planet. Only solar tracking heat concentrators and disk turbines have the capability to supply the entire planet with all of its motive power needs. As the leading developer of disk turbines today, PNGinc has pulled together a small army of developers to address the problems inherent in an affordable solar energy system for the 21st century. In the not-too-distant future, solar farms in historically poor nations will produce electricity which, stored in fleets of battery ships, will be transported to sun-poor regions. The project goal is to enable the move to non-polluting distributed electrical power systems on the home and village levels – while empowering sun-rich developing nations to become the global power players in this century. PNGinc’s solar-turbine power generation project is transferring sophisticated, low-cost solar-turbine power technology to people around the world. Projects such as these will eventually move the world off the destructive fossil fuel circle.
